Government Sets US$119.6 million budget for September

DILI, September 2, 2020 (TATOLI) – The Government has approved the temporary budget allocation (DOT) of US$119.6 million for September, which also includes the repayment of loans.

The draft was presented by the Deputy Minister of Finance, Sara Lobo Brites, at the council meeting.

It is recalled that the Executive from Timor-Leste, approved the $118 million budget for August, which also included the repayment of loans, a slight reduction compared to July, in which it was allocated 120.7 million dollars.

According to the Finance Ministry, Fernando Hanjam the budget approved in August included spending on salaries which is US$17.9 million, US$38.6 million for goods and services and $27.9 million for public transfers. In addition, $133.2 million were made available for smaller capital and $33.4 million for capital development.
