DILI, 15 September 2020 (TATOLI)- Timor-Leste Session of Parliament starts today, with heavy agenda, amidst the surprises that the pandemic has been throwing up on the social and economic fronts.
President for Council of Minister Fidelis Manuel Leite Magalhãe said according to the schedule today the 8th Constitutional Government will submit the state budget proposal to Parliament.
The government has listed the introduction of $1.492.3 Billion for the state budget. These includes the needs for the priorities programs that has defined by the Constitutional Government, specifically in the level of social and economic recoveries, underway of institutional reform process.
Early on Jun 29, the extraordinary meeting of Council Minister has approved the OJE for the fiscal year of 2020 with the total of $1.492,3 billion, but there was a slight adjustment, therefore an additional $1.49 million was added.
The $1.497 billion funds will be broken up into four categories, which is $206,8 will be spending to Government Salaries, $496,7 million for goods and services, $571,1 million for Public transfers, $8,9 million for minor capital and Capital development total of $213,4 million.
The budget coming from the domestic revenue $172.3 million, Estimation of Sustainable income is $544.3 million adjusting in to $316.6 million due to the limited budget, the government have to draw $477 million from petroleum fund which bring the total into $1.011.3 billion.
So far, the approval budget is including state temporary budget a for August and the 10 months budgets.
