Government completes a data collection  for food nutrition in TL

DILI, 19 September 2020 (TATOLI)- Government’s Ministry of Health is closing a research program for data collection of the second food nutrition period in Timor-Leste.

The program is implemented in a previous four months within 12 municipalities included Administrative Region of Oé-Cusse Ambeno (RAEOA).

” We are under the data gathering, we are yet to have a result of  it and we have just gathered all the data from 12 municipalities, and we will analyze all the data before we receive the results,” Minister of health, Odete Maria Freitas Belo said at Manatuto Municipality.

Timor-Leste mal nutrition cases are majority happened to mother and child and the research will help the government to prevent and fight against country’s mal nutrition.

” Hope the result of the survey will show Timor-Leste case of mal nutrition is well compare to the number from previous 2016,” he said.

64 researchers from the Ministry of Health are doing the researches during 4 months within 12.800 households in 12 municipalities including a RAEOA.
