DILI, 01 october 2020 (TATOLI)– President Republic, Francisco Guterres Lú Olo on behalf of people of the Democratic Republic of Timor-Leste (RDTL) give their attention and regards to the commemoration of 47 anniversary of Guinea Bissau’s address to the country through the vote of peace and priority to people of Guinea Bissau.
Guinea Bissau gained its independence on september 24, 1973, after a long struggle of African Independence of Guinea Cabo Verde Party (PAIGC) which was leading by the Amilcar Cabal, a person who known to gather the unity of people for the common objective.
“When we were fighting for the national liberation, our country became an inspiration to others,” President Lu Olo said.
President Lu Olo is following the process of Guinea Bissau of development and success.
“Timor-Leste fight’s for independence had received strong influence from the movement and liberation of Guinea Bissau, especially with the political ideas of Amilcar Cabral,” he said.
