DILI, 09 october 2020 (TATOLI)– Spokesperson for the Democratic Party (PD), Mariano Asanami Sabino, has requested that the government continue using the Strategic Development Plan (PEDN) for the development of infrastructure.
PD says this is one of the fundamental principles for their support of the government to ensure there is an end to the Political Deadlock.
“PD gives its support to the 2020 state budget to continue spending on the development of infrastructure, electricity, clean water, and roads,” Asanami said after voting for the Federal Budget of 2020.
Asanami also asked that the government continue implementing the policy of decentralisation with the purpose to bring the leadership close to people and people close to leadership.
He recommended that the government support local authorities, the chief of all villages and all the municipal structures to accelerate decentralisation of rural administrative for the rapid development.
In his intervention, he also asks the government to be investing in the Health, Education, Agriculture areas, in the nation and state construction sphere.
PD will continue to support the modification of society in Timor-Leste, including improved functions for institutions from national to rural operations, ensuring they do a better job for people to understand and know the information and process relating to the development of Timor-Leste.
