DILI, 27 october 2020 (TATOLI) – The Ministry of Tourism, Commerce and Industry (MTCI) as officially launched the Basic staple food program at Metinaru, Dili Municipality.
The MTCI Minister, José do Carmo da Silva said this activity is a continuation of the previous program which is accomplished by the government within the range of the economy recovery induce by covid-19 health crisis.
On the other hand, the Administrator of Metinaro Village, Faustino Soares Dias, thanked the government for creating this program which is aimed at providing the support to the entire population within Timor-Leste territories.
“I would like to thank the Government for the effort speeding in implementing the Basic Basket program”, he said.
Following the data from the Ministry of the State Administration 764 people residing in Metinaro will be a recipient in this program.
The Vice-Prime Minister, José Maria dos Reis, with the Minister of Tourism, Trade and Industry, José do Carmo da Silva, local were presented at the launching ceremony.
