DÍLI, 24 november, 2020 (TATOLI) –The team from the Criminal Investigation Service (SIC) has cut off the internet network from an elite computer company that has provided internet services to all government offices including police stations.
The SIC also collected all the datas related to the provision of internet service to all the line of ministries that has been signing the contract with the company to offer the internet network. In this search operation, agents of the Criminal Investigation Service seized various documents and technological equipment, such as computers and laptops.
According to the press release, The Ministry of State Administration (MAE) has already canceled the provision of internet services to several ministerial lines.
The case is currently under investigation by the SIC Commander, Chief Superintendent José Maria Neto, in partnership with the team affecting Information and Communication Technologies (ICT).
SIC will conduct the investigation process of the person in charge of the telecommunications operator Telemor, who will be accompanied by his private lawyer, Pedro Aparício.
