DILI, 29 december 2020 (TATOLI) – President of Republic, Francisco Guterres Lú Olo has proposed to the Parliament for the extension of the State of Emergency.
The Press release from the office of the President, highlighted the request of the president to the parliament for the authorization of the State Emergency, after the meeting with The Superior Council for Defense and Security (SCDS) and the State Council (SC) agreed with the extension of the State Emergency by another 30 days, to prevent the covid-19 and public calamity.
The extension for the new state of emergency will begin on January 3 until February 1, 2021.
After the meeting with the SCDS and the SC, The Political Adviser of the President, Gregorio de Sousa, said the measures to be implemented during the State of Emergency, will be set by the government.
