DILI, 23 march 2021 (TATOLI) – DILI Health Authority reports 16 more covid-19 infections in Dili and Viqueuqe bring the country active cases to 277.
The Coordinator of the CIGC, Rui de Araújo, said, among the 16 cases, six are men and ten are woman. Four have symptoms and 12 are asymptomatic.
“The National laboratory collected since yesterday 689 sample for laboratory tests. 171 of which are related to requests for authorization to leave the Municipality of Dili,” Rui Araújo, informed during a virtual conference, at the Díli Convention Center (CCD).
With regard to the 14 new cases in the capital, three infected people live in Bidau Tokobaru2, are the close contacts of the infections from the same outbreak reported yesterday.
However, nine more cases are reported from Bebonuk, area of 20 de Setembro.
Authority also detected one case in the village of Kakeu-Laran, Becora, via the sentinel surveillance at the Hospital Nacional Guido Valadares (HNGV).
Another case also confirmed from Bidau Mota Klaran. The infected person works at the Ministry of Commerce, Tourism and Industry (MTCI), so the Health teams are still looking for contacts.
Araújo highlighted the total number of active cases in Dili is 197 with 37 clusters linked to march 7 of community transmission.
