DILI, april 5, 2021 (TATOLI) – Dili Health Authority announced ten new cases of covid-19 in the municipality of Dili and three in Baucau. The country currently has 485 active infections.
The Coordinator of the CIGC, Rui de Araújo, said that since April 4, authority records ten new outbreaks, bringing the number of outbreaks to 68 in the Dili Municipality.
Of the new cases reported today, nine are men and four are women, all are asymptomatic.
In addition to the cases in Baucau, authority also confirmed one new case Venilale, which bring the total cases in Baucau raised to 27 with eight outbreaks have been registered.
“The National Lab has performed 343 laboratory exams so far yesterday, of which 243 following requests for authorization to leave the Dili,” Rui de Araújo, said in a statement.
According to him, between April 3 and April 5, 173 applications for authorization letter were submitted, while four were unapproved by the CIGC for not following the requirements underline in the resolution of the Governmnet.
However, the recorded cases in several infected municipalities are remained the same, Covalima with 20 cases, Viqueque 11 cases, Ermera two cases so far and Lautém, Oé-Cusse remain one.
Araújo added that, the 52 cases reported yesterday, three lives in Dili and one traveled from Liquiçá municipality to Dili, without authorization letter from the CIGC.
The CIGC also continue to reiterate its appeal to the entire populations in Dili, Baucau and Viqueque as well as other municipalities maintain to remain calm and ensure that they comply with covid-19 protocol, by washing their hands with soap, check their temperature and maintain physical distance.
