DILI, april 21, 2021 (TATOLI) –Timor-Leste recorded 57 more cases of the new coronavirus – 53 in Dili and four in the other municipalities – and 33 recoveries. The country currently has 749 active infections.
Regarding the active cases in the municipalities, three infections were registered in Baucau and one in Bobonaro. The country has 1,509 confirmed cases since the outbreak of the new coronavirus.
The Coordinator of the COVID Crisis Management Center (CIGC), Rui Araújo, said that, among the cases recorded today, 50 were detected following requests for travel authorization.
Of all infections reported today, 34 are men and 23 women. Five patients have symptoms and the rest are asymptomatic.
Araújo also said that, since yesterday, the National Health Laboratory (LNS) has carried out 832 laboratory tests to leave the city and the others are for international traveling.
Meanwhile, three patients are considered to be in a moderate situation, while one patient is in a serious condition.
Until today, Timor-Leste registered 1.288 active cases in Dili, Baucau 46, ermera 40, Covalima 52, Viqueque 13, Liquiça nine, Ainaro 15, Lautém four, Bobonaro 15, Manatutu five, Manufahi 13, Aileu four and Oé-Cusse has five cases.
