DILI, 04 may 2021 (TATOLI) – The Timor-Leste National University (UNTL) will host a virtual graduation ceremony for the 100 students who recently completed their study in Medicine and Art Education.
The University Vice-Rector, Samuel Venâncio de Sousa Freitas, the University has decided that the online graduation for the students from the Department of Medicine and Department of Art Education will be hosted in May.
“We decided the graduation will be hosting in may to wait for the decision from the Government. If the Government decides to continue to extend the isolation zone in Dili, thus the graduation will be held virtually at the end of May. But the program will also be canceled if the Government decides to end the isolation zone in Dili after May 13, 2021,” Mr. Freitas said.
He said, although only 100 students submitted proposals to attend the online graduation, the university had an obligation to report the list of 633 students to the Ministry of Higher Education to be able to get monologue since this list including the finalists’ students who are preparing for graduation.
According to Freitas, when the list of 633 students has been published in the republic newspaper, the university will separate students who will graduate online and those who wish to have in-person graduation.
