DILI, 13 june 2021 (TATOLI) – The Integrated Crisis Management Center (CIGC) today registered 57 new cases of COVID-19 with 101 recoveries, while the active cases were 1,536.
“Today ICGC records 57 COVID-19 cases, which made up of 25 cases from capital Dili and 32 in the municipalities, including 27 in Baucau, 2 each in Manatuto and RAEOA, and 1 in Manatuto,” ICGC Coordinator, Dr. Rui Maria de Araujo said at Dili Convention Center, today.
Araujo said 7 percent of these cases were symptomatic, while the rest were showed no symptoms.
Araujo added 24 patients were currently under treatment at Vera Cruz Isolation Center and 2 patients were critically ill.
In the last 24 hours, The National Health Laboratory (LNS) has performed 699 PCR tests, including 40 sentinel surveillance tests, 40 through contact tracing, 151 via random screening, 427 were carried out following the request for travel authorization out of capital Dili, 5 for the international travel authorization, and 36 in quarantines.
Regarding the evolution of the COVID-19 in Timor-Leste, the incidence rate of coronavirus is, on average, in the last week, of 5.6 per 100 thousand inhabitants, while in Dili of 15.2, Baucau 6.2 and Viquque 4.9.
The health authorities kept calling on the communities to strictly obey and practice the health and safety guidance that had been implemented since the country imposed a lockdown in Dili and other municipalities.
Timor-Leste has so far registered a total of 8,285 confirmed Covid-19 cases, with 18 deaths and 6,731 recoveries since the beginning of the outbreak of the pandemic in the country.
