DILI, 15 june 2021 (TATOLI) – The Integrated Crisis Management Center (ICGC), on Tuesday, registered 71 new cases of COVID-19 in the country, with 206 recoveries, and 1,354 active cases.
Of the 71 new cases, 44 were detected in Dili, while the rest were detected in the municipalities, including 4 in Ainaro, 21 in Baucau, 1 in Ermera, and 1 in Viqueque municipality.
In the last 24 hours, the National Health Laboratory (NHL) had performed 1100 PCR tests, including 4 sentinel surveillance tests, 55 through contact tracing, 143 via random screening, 760 were performed following the request for travel authorization out of capital Dili, 116 for the international travel authorization and 22 in quarantines.
The evolution of the COVID-19 in Timor-Leste, the incidence rate of coronavirus is, on average, in the last week, of 5.6 per 100 thousand inhabitants, while in Dili of 14.9, in Baucau 8.0, and Viqueque 4.9.
Araujo said 29 patients were under treatment at the Vera Cruz Isolation Center, and 9 were in moderate condition.
The CIGC kept calling on the communities to strictly obey and practice the health and safety guidance that had been applied since the country imposed lockdown in Dili and other municipalities.
There has been a total of 8412 lab-confirmed cases of the virus in Timor-Leste, with 7039 recoveries, 1354 active cases and 19 deaths, according to data of the CIGC.
