DILI, 15 june 2021(TATOLI)- Royal Thai Ambassador to Timor-Leste Ekapol Poolpipat appreciates the Government’s Ministry of Agriculture and Fishery (MAF) for the worked hard in developing the agricultural sector in Timor Leste.
Ambassador Poolpipat commented on the launching of local agricultural products to be exported abroad.
speaking after the ceremony, Ambassador said the Empowerment of agricultural products is very crucial in a country because, with abundant agricultural products, the country and the people will prosper.
“Thailand Government is very proud and appreciates the Ministry of Agriculture for being able to work with partners from local companies working in the agricultural sector to develop the agriculture sector in Timor-Leste,” Ambassador said.
In addition, Mr. Poolpipat said the trade cooperation between the Royal Thai government and the Timor Leste government has been running smoothly since Timor Leste’s independence, therefore the Royal Thai government always imports rice for Timor Leste in strengthening food security in Timor Leste to anticipate hunger.
But today the Thai Government is very proud and appreciates the Ministry of Agriculture for being able to provide the local food production to be exported to other countries.
“I am very proud because I was invited to launch local agricultural products to be exported abroad and today there are 4 containers of dry konjac that will be exported to Thailand,” He said.
At the same time, he said, Thailand is willing to buy other agricultural products including coffee and other products, thus he hopes in the Future Timor-Leste will export other agricultural products in Thailand.
“Thailand wants agricultural trade cooperation to be increased and we hope that in the future Timor Leste can export other agricultural products to Thailand,” he added.
