Ambassador Sahat Sitorus bid farewell to Prime Minister Taur Matan Ruak

DILI, 24 september 2021 (TATOLI)-The Ambassador of the Republic of Indonesia, Sahat Sitorus bid farewell to the Prime Minister of Timor-Leste, Taur Matan Ruak, at the Government Palace, Dili today.

“With honor, I met with the Prime Minister, Taur Matan Ruak, since my mission will be completed in Timor-Leste in October. This is an opportunity to confirm the politics between the two countries in the bilateral relationships, especially in Border Security, Maritime, Agriculture, Forestry, Farm, Tourism and many others cooperation scopes,” Ambassador Sitorus commented after meeting with the PM.

Ambassador Sitorus added during the meeting, PM Taur Matan Ruak ensures that the Government of Timor-Leste will assign the Timorese Military (F-FDTL) to strengthen the security ties in the borders between both countries to maintain peace and stability.

“I agreed with the decision from PM to assign F- FDTL members to strengthen the border security to maintain the stability in the border,” he said. 

Sitorus promises to convey all the relationships cooperation between both countries, especially future cooperation to the President of the Republic of Indonesia, Joko Widodo. 

“Indonesia’s Government will continue to support all the sectors of agriculture, tourism, farm, and the other sectors to be better in the future, and I am connivance that Timor- Leste will become a prosperous country in the future,” He said.

“At the same Place, the PM Prime Minister Taur Matan Ruak, also ask me to deliver his greeting to the President of Republic of Indonesia Joko Widodo in Jakarta and with the hope that PM Taur Matan Ruak Will be invited by Jokowi to Indonesia before his mandate as Prime Minister end by 2023,”
