NP approves vote of condolence over the death of Max Stahl and Baucau Archbishop  Nascimento

DILI, 04 november 2021 (TATOLI)-The National Parliament approved this Wednesday a vote of condolence for the death of the British Journalist Max Stahl and the metropolitan Archbishop of the Archdiocese of Baucau, Basilio Do Nascimento which calls for respect and recognizing the contribution of Max Stahl and Archbishop Nascimento to the national liberation.

Fretilin deputy Jose Agostinho Sequera “Somotxo said The National Parliament extends its condolences following the passing of late Max Stahl and Archbishop Nascimento.

At the same Time, Fretelin Deputy, Marito Mota call on the state to construct a monument for Max Stahl.

“Let’s not stand, just for the vote. The state needs to build a monument to dignify Max Stahl’s contributions,” Mota said.

Max Stahl died on October 28 in Brisbane, a victim of prolonged illness, on the same day as the 30th anniversary of the death of Sebastiao Gomes, which gave rise to the homage that led to the Santa Cruz massacre.

Christopher Wenner is known as Max Stahl was born on December 6, 1954, in the United Kingdom.

The Bishop of the Diocese Bacau Dom Basilio do Nascimento, died last Saturday, October 30 at the age of 71.

He died from a Heart Attack at the Hospital Nacional Guido Valadares.
