DILI, 7 december 2021 (TATOLI) – The National Parliament, on tuesday, approved in the specialty, the proposed budget of the 2022 fiscal Year of the Ministry of Finance (MoF), totaling, US$29.9 million.
The National Parliament approved the budget with 45 votes in favor, zero against, and one abstention. Thus, the General State Budget of the Ministry of Finance was approved,” the President of the National Parliament, Aniceto Guterres, announced at the National Parliament on tuesday.
Four million dollars of the budget will be allocated for salaries and wages, US$20 million for goods and services, US$5 million for minor capital, and US$2.9 million for development capital.
The allocated budget of US$29.9 million will finance two programs, eight sub-programs, and 39 activities of the Ministry of Finance, in 2022.
The Ministry of Finance plans to allocate US$19 million for Public Finance Management, as well as US$10.8 million for good governance and institutional management.
MoF is responsible for the design, execution, coordination, and evaluation of the policy defined and approved by the Council of Ministers, for the areas of annual planning and monitoring of the budget and public finances.
