DILI, 11 april 2022 (TATOLI)—OISCA Nishi Nippon Training has offered an agriculture training that focused on organic farming methods to the Timorese students in order to provide more comprehensive techniques on the agriculture development sector for Timorese people.
Leonito Noronha is a beneficiary of the training, departed to Japan on 7th of april and arrived on 9th april, 2022
Leinito seized the opportunity after a long time “tiressly” past his time to learn the Japanese languages, among other, at Quesadhip Ruak Foundation (CQR), since 2009.
He deserves a one-year opportunity for agriculture training to provide more comprehensive techniques in the agriculture development sector.
Thus, the teacher of Japanese language at CQR Foundation, Chihiro Niwa informed, the opportunity is offered to Leonito due to the effort made by the former’s ambassador of Japan to Timor-Leste, Iwao Kitahara.
Mr. Kitahara is providing the opportunity for Timorese to attend agriculture training in Japan.
He said they were able to accept one Timorese student. “We had to do a selection and submit documents,” said Chihiro Niwa in a press release.
Chihiro Niwa emphasized, Leonito Noronha was selected through a competitive selection made by the CQR foundation. “He is the best student in the joint Japanese language course in august 2019 among 32 students,” he said.
“In the future, he will be able to teach other Timorese friends in the Japanese language and agriculture sector,” he added.
On the other hand, the beneficiary of the opportunity, Leonito Noronha thanked the CQR Foundation for providing Japanese language courses. “I encourage all of my friends who are taking the Japanese course to keep trying because there are many programs from Japan that can be followed, don’t be discouraged and keep trying,” he encouraged.
Meanwhile, OISCA Nishi Nippon Training Center is led by Hirose Kaneaki and was founded in 1968, with activities as a training center specializing in organic farming and its products are certified by the Ministry of Agriculture, Forestry and Fisheries of Japan.
The trainees from various countries learn organic farming methods based on the official standards set by the Japanese Government.
The trainees also undergo intensive Japanese language lessons to enable them to communicate with the local Japanese population.
The center management believes that the beneficiary’s understanding of the local language is a good opportunity among trainees to have a deeper understanding of Japanese culture and the Japanese way of life.
It is known that OISCA training center provides long-term agricultural training for youth from Africa, Asia and the Pacific. The 909 graduated students from various countries and from Japan from OISCA Nishi Nippon Training Center.
The graduates are expected to return to their respective communities to become leaders and help develop their villages.
