DILI, 17 november 2022 (TATOLI)- A telecommunication operator from Vietnam (Telemor) organized a blood donation to welcome the commemoration of Timor-Leste proclamation of Independence day scheduled to be held on 28 November this year.
“In the celebration of Timor-Leste independence day, we encourage all people to come together for blood donation to help other people who are in needed,’’ General Director of Telemor, Tran Van Bang told a journalist at Timor-Plaza, this thursday.
Tran Vang Bang said Telemor will be expanding blood donation to other municipalities in the future adding that because the company has already organized three times of blood donations in Dili.
“Telemor expects that with today’s blood donation there are about 100 people who will come along for this activity,” he said.
Chief Department of the Blood Department, Januario Freitas in turn appreciates Telemor company for carrying out the blood donation activity to ensure there is enough blood for the patients in the Hospitals.
“This activity is very important and important for everyone to participate to ensure the preservation of blood in HNGV is sufficient for the patients,”
“The hospital requires more blood types composed of A, B, AB, and O so expect that today we will be able to collect 250, 350, and 400 grams of blood,’’ He said.
A blood donor, José Elio Rodriques, said he decides to participate in blood donation because his type of blood is hard to find in the hospitals: “ I have AB in my blood type, which is very difficult to find in the NHGV,”
“This is my three time offering my blood to National Hospital to help others who need my help. I have a sense for helping others, especially who are in a critical situation,’’ He expressed
So far, Telemor has organized blood donation three two times in Dili and was able to register over 80 blood donors.
