DILI, 3 january 2023, (TATOLI)- Over 300 Timorese children participated in various competitions for celebrating 180 international days for Missioners.
Children International Missionary Day is held every year on 8 January.
In the celebration of international children’s missioner day, the organization will help children to understand that God is existed (EPIFANI), and God is universal for everyone, through various competitions.
The event organizer Chairman, Fr. Agostinho Do Rego said this competition activity is organized by the Obras Pontifícias Infancia e Adolescência Missionária (OPIAM) to promote children’s skills in various activities.
“This organization is organizing various competitions for children to promote their skills on the commemoration of the international day of child missionary,’’ The Chairman of the event organizer, Fr. Agostinho Do Rego told journalists at Delta Nova, this tuesday.
He said the competition activities were composed of a group singing, Fashion Show, and a speech (the speech in English and Portuguese).
At one point of this, Rego encourages all children to take part in this competition to develop and promote their talents.
“This competition is an educative way for children to promote their skill,’’ Fr. Do Rego said
According to Rego, the winner will be awarded cash prizes amount $15 to $125.
