DILI, january 2023 ( TATOLI)– The General Secretary of Karketu Dili FC, Ilizeu Izaac, said Karketu FC has contracted three international football players from Somalia, Sieralione and Ghana to strengthen their club on Timor- Leste Football League ( FLTL) 2022-2023 to be held on February 18.
The three football players are, Patrick Nyal from Somalia, Ronald from Sierralione, and Emma Cooker from Ghana, who will arrive in Timor – Leste in the near future.
He said, by adding three international players, Karketu FC has a total of 22 players who will be registered in the LFTL to participate the match in this year.
“We recruited three international players based on the decision from the structural meeting. The three international players will function as middle players and strikers” Elizeu Isaac told TATOLI in his office at Aimutin Dili.
Isaac explained that it was estimated that 60% of old players who still active to defend Karketu FC while others had moved clubs and some had gone to England to look for work.
“Our players are completed, so in the near future we will register our club in FLTL to attend the competition this year,” he said.
Regarding the coach he said, Karketu FC will remain with the same coach and ready to conduct the training preparation sessions before the game starts.
So far, Kareketu FC was the winner, stepping into a first-place position in the championship, and this year Karketu FC wishes to defend the titles of LFTL.
