DILI, 17 february 2023 (TATOLI)— Director General of the State Secretariat for Vocational and Employment Training (SEFOPE), Paulo Alves, said that Mundi International had completed the feasibility study process for Building Excellence Training in Metinaro.
The feasibility of the Excellent Training Center in Metinaro has been finalized by the company Mundi International and currently, SEFOPE is waiting for the final report to continue the design process,” said the Director General of SEFOPE at Timor Lodge, Dili.
Alves said, after receiving the final report from the Mundi International company, SEFOPE would send a new technical team to conduct the detailed engineering design process and it was hoped that the groundbreaking could take place before the new government.
Alves explained that the training center establishes to provide training to Timorese and as a multi-functional training building, which will be built as an alternative training center for Timorese youth currently undergoing training in Tibar and Senai Becora.
“We see that the Senai Training Center and the Tibar Training Center have not accommodated enough Timorese to attend training because these two training centers have limited spaces, therefore the construction of the new building will accommodate more than 5,000 to 8,000 participants to attend various trainings such as basic fisheries training, construction, mechanics, culinary, tourism, leadership, research support, or training for focus areas such as technology, business concepts, skills, or broad fields of study and others.,”
According to Alves, this center of excellence will become part of the Asia Pacific center of excellence and can facilitate more young people.
The budget for the feasibility study of $230,000 was supported by the National Commission for Infrastructure Funds (CAFI) while the bidding process was performed by the National Procurement Commission (CNA).
