DILI, 17 november 2023 (TATOLI) – The Ministry of Trade and Industry (MTI) launched Business Competitions and Awards 2023 for Timor-Leste startups and small businesses.
Micro, Small and Medium-sized Enterprises from all municipalities, including RAEOA are invited to take part in the competition.
The results of the competition will be announced next month after the MTI team has assessed all the candidates’ applications.
“This competition aims to provide opportunities for Micro, Small and Medium-sized Enterprises to compete. This competition also aims to promote young entrepreneurs in the country,” said Vice-Minister of Commerce, Augusto Júnior Trindade.
He said that young entrepreneurs with all kinds of business activities are encouraged to compete.
Trindade said that MTI wanted to identify potential young entrepreneurs who could become business role models to inspire others to achieve their dreams of becoming successful businessmen.
The assessment of the application document of the applicants would be focussed on the duration of their business activities, the type of activity of the company, the number of employees, and the significant contribution of their company to the economic development of the country, etc.
The registration began on thursday (16/11) shortly after the launch of the Competition and Awards 2023 by Deputy Minister Trindade, in Dili.
