DILI, 21 March 2025 (TATOLI) – The Chinese Embassy in Timor-Leste, with the support of the All-China Women’s Federation (ACWF), provided 750 books, and 20 laptops, as well as other necessary equipment, including 250 educational toys and 35 sewing machines, to the Ministry of Social Solidarity and Inclusion (MoSSI).
These materials were symbolically handed over by the Chinese Ambassador to Timor-Leste, Wang Wenli, to the Minister of Social Solidarity and Inclusion, Verónica das Dores.
Minister Dores stated that the materials would be distributed to vulnerable groups in the country.
The handing over of the materials is the result of the meeting between the Vice Minister of Social Solidarity and Inclusion, Céu Brites, and the ACWF delegation in 2023, during which both parties pledged to strengthen cooperation in supporting vulnerable Timorese groups.
Ambassador Wenli emphasized that it is necessary to work in partnership with the MoSSI to improve the living conditions of vulnerable groups and promote social equity and inclusive growth.
The All-China Women’s Federation, one of the largest women’s organizations in the country, has long been dedicated to protecting the rights and interests of women and children. It promotes the development of women and actively engages in international cooperation,” she concluded.
