DILI, 18 october 2024 (TATOLI) – The Head of State, Jose Ramos Horta appreciates the traditional house Aidil-Heil Neurtura and the Manufahi community for offering four hectares of ancestral land left by their forebears to the Santa Bakhita School Center to build schools starting from Pre-School to University level, in Letefoho Village, Same Administrative Post, Manufahi Municipality.
The President of the Republic considers that the community offering the land demonstrates their wisdom by providing land to prepare the children’s future to continue this country forward.
The Nobel Peace Prize Laureate further emphasizes that the Santa Bakhita community and their partners will build a school whose certificate will also be recognized by the Australian Government and will make adjustments from the Australian curriculum to the national curriculum.
According to the plan, the school construction project will be completed in 3 years, depending on the support offered by donors.
In addition, the President of the Republic also opened a charity concert (Fundraising Concert) at the Manufahi municipal stadium with the aim of helping the volunteer group led by young Australian, Ornela, to build St. Bakhita School in Manufahi.
