DILI, 17 june 2021 (TATOLI)-Five people with disabilities have already benefited to the Australian Scholarship Award program provided by the Australia Embassy in Dili, said Director of the Association of Disabilities of Timor-Leste (ADTL), Cesario da Silva.

“Five people with disabilities have benefited from the Australian Award Scholarship Program through the Embassy in Timor-Leste since 2017 until now, 2 of them are still continuing their studies in Australia and 3 others are now in Timor-Leste,” Cesario told reporters of TATOLI News Agency in Mascarenhas on thursday.

He explained that all of these five people were studying in the field of deficiency and three of them had finished their study and already worked in the Deficiency Institution to contribute to Timor-Leste’s National development in general, and the other two people were still continuing their study in Australia.
ADTL and all institutions who handle the deficiency program in Timor-Leste would like to express its deep gratitude to the Australian government through its Embassy in Timor-Leste and recommended it to continue this program.
