Speaking during the interview, Gomes explained in the distribution of the food basket program if the Authority finds unhealthy products the supplier company is required to replace the products with fresh and healthy ones.

“AIFAESA will instruct to remove the unhealthy and expired products and replace the products with the fresh and healthy ones, however, if the issue is ignored by the supplier company, AIFAESA will impose the sanction with a total of 1000 to 5000 USD to the company,”

But so far, AIFAESA has not found any supplier company that disobeys the rules during the distribution of food baskets:” AIFAESA assures that all local products prepared for the food basket program are according to standard prices and products are also hygienic and healthy without any impact on public health,”
