BC invites all Timorese people to support ‘’Witness K’’ to be free of guilty spy persecution

DILI, 19 may 2023 (TATOLI)- Bernard Callaery (BC) invited all people to support “Witness K” to get freedom on guilty of breaching secrecy laws by revealing Australia’s spying on Timor-Leste.

Witness K’s lawyer, Bernard Collaery asked all activists in Timor-Leste and also people in Timor-Leste and Australia to continue to provide advocacy through media to publish articles to support Witness K to be free from the allegation of spying issue.

“We are suffering in justice and we needed to support the victims suffering on justice, as the laws misconducted by Australia and they were ignorable, ’’ Witness K’s lawyer, Bernard Collaery said in his remarks in Farol, this friday.

He added all young Timorese activities should continue to provide advocacy in the media, to push the Australian government to liberate Witness K from jail.

“I have nothing to talk about with the Timorese government. However, I am here in Timor-Leste to demonstrate solidarity with Timorese people, as I am also working for justice ’’ He said

It is required for Australia to be apologized for stealing Timorese Souberity and your maritime richness. It was a great protest against the Australian Prime Minister to fight on your maritime boundary.

Mr. Bernard Callaery emphasized that He will provide more advice if it is required by the leadership of Timorese:” I do not want to intervene in domestic policy, which is smartly decided by the Timor-Leste government, but I am committed to supporting the Timorese people,” he said.

Witness K is an Australian and a catholic, he is a courageous man, who finds out about the Australia Spy in Timor-Leste on a maritime boundary issue.

Timorese should be asked to be pardoned, forgiven, and get him free and have his conviction removed.

“We should be asked to pardon to the ACT Supreme Court to remove the conviction and get him free,’’ He concluded

So far, In 2004 Australian Spies bugged the Timor-Leste government building to gain an upper hand in negotiations to carve up oil and gas reserves in the Timor Sea. The resource contracts were crucial to the economy and prosperity of the then-fledgling nation.
