DILI, 01 August 2023 ( TATOLI)– Interim Rector of the Institute of Business ( IOB), Vasio Sarmento Soares, said National Agency for Academic Assessment and Accreditation (ANAAA) has evaluated the Master’s degree Program in IOB last Sunday.
“ANAAA has evaluated the Accounting Master Program and recommended three elements to be developed in the future. The three recommendations are, including to strengthen local lecturers and second to strengthen Internal Quality Assurance (IQA) and the third is to support the e-book to facilitate the master students of accounting,” said Vasio Sarmento Soares to TATOLI via cell phone on Sunday (30/07)
From the three recommendations, IOB committed to continuing to empower human resources and to recruit local lecturers to teach master’s degree students of the accounting program at IOB because so far almost all lecturers are coming from Indonesia.
In addition, IOB will also comply with internal quality assurance by developing all facilities to adapt the existing modern technology to facilitate Master of Accounting students through modernizing e-book applications.
” IOB thanked the ANAAA’s team for evaluating the accreditation of the Master of Accountancy program and recommending three important elements to be developed in the future. IOB is committed to improving the recommendations from ANAAA and continuing to work closely with ANAAA to ensure the quality of education in Timor – Leste,”
Previously ANAAA had accredited the associate degree from the Department of Economic Management, Accountancy, and Economic Development in the year 2015.
So far ANAAA had accredited four universities in Timor – Leste such as; the National University of Timor Lorosa’e ( UNTL), Dili University (UNDIL), University of Peace ( UNPAZ), University of Oriental ( UNITAL), and twelve other 12 Higher Education Institutions such as; Institute of Business (IOB), Dili Institute Technology ( DIT), Institute Superior Cristal (ISC), Jhon Saldana University ( JSU), Institute Poliytecnic Betano ( IPB), East Timor Coffee Institute ( ETCI), ICSP Baukau, Institute Boaventura Timor – Leste ( IBTL), ISJB, IPDC, and ISFIT.
