DILI, 02 august 2023 ( TATOLI) – South Korean Embassy in Timor -Leste and the Secretariat of Vocational Training and Employment ( SEFOPE) today distribute 2000 units of Korean books to 26 Training Centers in Timor – Leste.
Ambassador of South Korea to Timor – Leste, Shin Mantaek, said these books are important to facilitate the training center in providing the Korean language course in Timor – Leste.
“Currently market demand for working in South Korea is too high therefore we conduct cooperation with SEFOPE to distribute the Korean textbook to facilitate the training center to offer Korean language courses to the participants to compete for the job market in South Korea,” the Ambassador of South Korea Shin Mantaek told reporters at the Professional Training Center (CFP) Becora, Dili on wednesday.
Ambassador, Shin Mantaek asked the Timorese youth to learn more about the Korean language because Korea will need more Timorese workers in the future.
“The main requirement to work in South is to dominate the Korean language, therefore Timor-Leste’s youth must study hard to get an opportunity to work in South Korea because South Korea will need more Timorese workers to work in South Korea in the future,” he said.
Likewise, Secretary of State for Vocational Training and Employment, Rojerio de Araujo Mendonca revealed the textbook will help the participants to understand and use the proper grammar and speaks good Korean.
“With the distribution of this book, we hope that the training centers will use this book to facilitate the participant’s Korean language course to compete for the market demand in South Korea,” he concluded.
Meanwhile, the Training Centers which received the guideline book of the Korean language are, the Training Center of Knua Buka Hatene ( KBH), Loro Sa’e Center Training in Farol, Casa Cidadania in Kolmera and other 23 Training Centers in Timor – Leste.
