DILI, 13 April 2026 (TATOLI) — Timor-Leste’s Ministry of Social Solidarity and Inclusion (MoSSI) has signed a cooperation agreement with an Indonesian training institution aimed at strengthening the technical and professional skills of public servants in the social sector.
The Minister of Social Solidarity and Inclusion, Verónica das Dores, witnessed the signing of the agreement in Yogyakarta on April 13 between the ministry and Nuansa Global.
The agreement establishes a framework for cooperation to implement training programmes designed to improve staff competencies in public service delivery and social assistance, with a focus on vulnerable groups.
According to the ministry, the training will cover areas such as public financial management, human resources administration and other professional development fields aimed at improving institutional performance and service quality.
During the ceremony, Verónica das Dores urged ministry staff to fully engage in the training programmes with discipline and commitment, stressing the importance of punctuality and focus to ensure effective learning outcomes. She said capacity building is essential to improving professionalism in public service.
A representative of Nuansa Global said the agreement would strengthen cooperation between the two institutions and stressed that persistence and sustained effort are key to achieving long-term results in human resource development.
As part of her visit to Indonesia, the minister also visited institutions providing care and support to vulnerable people to observe service delivery models and social assistance practices.
Nuansa Global, based in Yogyakarta, specialises in vocational training and human resource development, with a focus on institutional and technological capacity building.
