TIMOR GAP – EPIC sign MoU to explore strategic collaboration on offshore oil and gas logistics

DÍLI, 24 September 2026 (TATOLI) — TIMOR GAP (Timor Gás & Petróleo, E.P.) and Eastern Pacific Industrial Corporation Berhad (EPIC), a Terengganu state-linked company, have signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) to explore potential strategic collaboration in the development of a primary logistics and marine supply base to support offshore oil and gas operations in the Timor Sea.
The MoU establishes a framework for engagement, knowledge and expertise exchange, evaluation of potential business opportunities, and assessment of commercially viable collaboration areas, subject to further discussions and mutually agreed terms.
This initiative reflects the Parties’ shared interest in exploring opportunities that may contribute to the development of petroleum logistics infrastructure and support the long-term growth of Timor-Leste’s oil and gas sector.
The MoU was formally signed by Rui Soares, President and Chief Executive Officer of TIMOR GAP, E.P. and Muhtar bin Suhaili, Group Chief Executive Officer of Eastern Pacific Industrial Corporation Berhad (EPIC).
The signing was witnessed by Alexandre Cristóvão, Vice-President of Infrastructure Development and Syed Abdullah bin Syed Omar, Senior General Manager.
