DILI, 19 october 2021 (TATOLI)– The United Nations Population Fund (UNFPA) in Timor – Leste, recommended the Government’s Ministry of Education Youth and Sports (MoYS) to integrate the Education on sexual and reproductive Health into the national curriculum for Senior High School.
“The UNFPA will help the Ministry of Education, Youth, and Sport ( MoEYS) to transform the Education on sexual and reproductive Health into the national curriculum for Senior High School.”Ronny Lindstrom commented at the Timor Plaza on tuesday.
Lindstrom added that ESRH is very important for Senior High School students to prevent premature married, sexual abuse, sexual violence, and also anticipate baby dump.
“the ESRH subject will help the students to have broad thoughts about the negative impact and positive impact of sexuality for their future,” he said.
UNFPA and MoEYS will discuss the substance of sexual and reproductive Health to be taught in all senior high schools across Timor Leste.
