DILI, 17 december 2021 (TATOLI) – More than 35,000 students have received the first dose of the Covid-19 vaccine, equivalent to 19.3%, according to the report from the Ministry of Health.
“The country recorded 19.3% of students with the first dose of vaccine, equivalent to 35,142 students, of whom 15.4% were fully vaccinated, i.e. 27,998”, referring to a statement from the MoH.
Timor-Leste already has 82.6% of the population with the first dose of vaccine or the equivalent of 623,173 people, of whom 64.5% have received the second dose, i.e. 486,551.
Timor-Leste has received more than one million doses of the vaccine offered by the COVAX mechanism, Australia, New Zealand, Portugal, Japan, China, and the United States.
It is known that on April 7 the country started a vaccination campaign against covid-19 at the Formosa Health Center in Dili.
The country currently has four active cases, 19,830 confirmed cases, 19,704 recoveries since the outbreak began.
