DILI, 31 january, 2022 (TATOLI)- National Training Center Becora (SENAE) regularly graduates 300 trainees every year. It is to compete for national and international market demands.
The Interim Director of CNFP, Fernando Araújo said SENAE Becora, a training center was established in 2002. Thus the main purpose of this training center establishment is to offer life skills for trainees innovative and creative ideas for young people.
SENAE is provided with different training as Carpenters, Electricity, Water Institutions, Cooking, Bakery, Automotive, and others.
He added that the approximate of 6.300 trainees has qualified from SENAE Becora National training centers.
“We are providing some different subjects of training for all people, especially for young people who have finished senior high school,” The Interim Director of CNFP, Fernando Araújo told TATOLI Agency at his office in Becora, 31 january, this monday.
There are some challenges still facing SENAE as human resources and Equipment. There is basic equipment and no high-quality machines assisting. It is difficult for trainees to develop their own innovative and creative ideas.
There is no laboratory for diagnosing the quality of produce, such as food testing. There is also still a lack of machines to support creating innovative ideas. The trainer wants to build an innovative automobile and even the ideas for woods’ innovative creation. He said
Mr. Araújo said human resources are required to have more capacity building. It is expecting to send more trainers overseas for more capacity building.
It is known that the cooperation between Timor-Leste, Indonesia, and Brazil countries was made for providing capacity building to the trainers.
Thus, capacity building for the trainers is mostly required. It is ensuring the SENAE training center can create some innovative products to respond to national and international markets.
SENAE Training Center is providing the training based on INDMO’s curriculum. It is responding to the mechanisms and standardization of INDMO.
SENAE training center has complied with the criteria of INDMO. Thus, a recognition of accreditation as SENAE has fully gained the certification of 1 and 2.
- A criterion is the trainers must qualify from technical vocational school.
- The training centers have enough buildings and have training equipment for the practicing process.
Currently, we are in cooperation with JICA, KOICA and Australia Pacific Training. It is to guarantee the quality of training is responding to the international market.
Before the Covid-19, the government of Timor-Leste allocated 1 million UDS for SENAE Becora training center. However there is any deduction due to economic crises, in 2022 the government has approved 613.187 USD.
The budgeting for salary, operation, capacity building program for trainees and also capacity building for trainers.
SENAE Becora Training Center has a total of 64 workers composed of 52 Males and 12 females. They are working for trainers, finance, administrating, logistics and cleaners.
