DILI, 25 february 2022 (TATOLI)- National Election Commission  (CNE) officially approved the bulletin item for presidential election. After the approval the bulletin is introduced to the ‘Gráfica Nacional’  to commence the printing process.

The President of National Election Commission (CNE), José António Belo said the approval of presidential election bulletin item is based on the presidential decree law no 38 mentioned that all presidential candidate must submit election items compose of pictures, symbols, and items to the the Election Secretariat Technique and Administration (STAE).

“STAE is recommending to the CNE to be officially approved all bulletin items from the candidate based on the proposal from each candidate. The bulletin can be produce after it is officially approved by CNE,” The President of National Election Commission (CNE), José António Belo told reports CNE rooms, in Caicoli, today.

He added that after the approval the bulletin items are directly distributed to ‘Gráfica Nacional’  to begin the producing process.

It requires all relevant parts composed of  CNE,  STAE, PNTL and Security members to cooperate to ensure the printing process must be safe, secure and going  well.

“All items provided by each presidential candidate that are introduced and approved by CNE will be in the print process,” He said.

The bulletin will be printed according the quantity of voters has been collected by CNE such as the total voters in the across the country the total 854,248 and the total voters in overseas is 861.367, accumulation data is 1.715,616

It is known that CNE will declare an official declaration to establish 1.200 polling stations across the country and also abroad.

Based on Timor-Leste election laws no 65 no two mentioned the obligation and actuality to all voters to effectively participate in the presidential election. However, due on covid-19 disease needed more discussion between relevant parts regarding how the Timorese people are living aboard, especially in Australia, Indonesia and even in other countries.

CNE is still having technical meetings with all relevant institutions to decide the fixed schedule for the presidential election campaign.
