DILI, 14 march 2022 (TATOLI)- The Timorese internal securities authority, Timor-Leste National Police (PNTL) will tighten the security on the last presidential of the Republic‘s campaign in Dili.
Head of the Public Relations Department of the PNTL, Sub Inspector, Armando Monteiro, said the PNTL will be strengthened by the Special Police Unit (UEP) the Police Maritime Unit (UPM) and the Border Patrol Unit (UPF) in tightening the security during the last presidential campaign on 16, march in Dili.
“Based on the accidents and incidents, that happened in the first week and second week of the Presidential of the Republic ‘s campaign, it was a lesson for the PNTL to tighten the security in the last presidential campaign in Dili, the PNTL of Dili municipality will be assisted by UEP, UPM and UPF because the PNTL in the Dili municipality is not sufficient. Therefore, today the Command of PNTL has officially issued an order letter to these three PNTL units to help and secure the stability of the final Presidential of the Republic ‘s campaign in Dili,” Head of the Public Relations of PNTL Armando Monteiro, told reporters in Cai-Coli Dili on this monday.
The PNTL General Command urges all militants, supporters and success teams, among others, from each President of the Republic ‘s candidate to cooperate with the PNTL in carrying out the final campaign in Dili based on a democratic manner without any discrimination.
“We have to obey all the rules that, have been issued by the Management Electoral Body, to ensure the final President of the Republic‘s campaign in Dili based on the norms of democratization in Timor – Leste,” Sub Inspector of PNTL Dili municipality, Armando Monteiro, added.
