DILI, 03 july 2023 (TATOLI)- The former Secretary of State Vocational Training and Employment (SoSVTE), Alarico do Rosário officially handed over office documents and competence to the new SoSVTE, Rogério Araújo Mendonça to led the secretariat for five coming years.
The Former SoSVTE, Alarico do Rosario said it is pleased to welcome the new Secretary of State Rogério Araújo Mendonça to get the competence for leading this secretariat.
“I have achieved some progress in some programs. But it is not maximal and I hope the new secretary of state will more improving continue the program and bring the welfare for Timorese people, especially young people,’’ The Former SoSVTE, Alarico do Rosário made a comment to Journalists in SoSVTE office in handover ceremony that took place in Caicoli, Dili, on monday.
During his mandate, the former executive informed some progress programs comprising Training program, Employment program, The establishment of taskforce teamwork program, Promoting the Timorese labor dignity program and so on.
The positive progress is the increasing quota for oversea labor in Australia from 500 quota last 2018. However, in 2022, SoSVTE sent over 1.160 Timorese workers to South Korea, and in 2022 the number is increasing to over 4.000 Timorese working to work in Australia.
SoSVTE has approved the total budget for five years, 5.116, 132, USD and over 2 million USD or 46% of execution.
In the occasion, Rogério Araújo Mendonça, a new SoSVTE, said that in the 120 days upcoming will strengthen and evaluate the teamwork and intensify the data collection in fields.
“We will evaluate and verify the data for program implementation from the National to the municipality level. We will find out the progress of program implementation and the challenges that faced in the implementation process,’’ He said.
It is most required for teamwork composed of the officer, chief departments, directors and other on communication, cooperation, and coordination is the main points.
“I hope on good cooperation and coordination among teamwork can give positive result in the period of 120 days,’’ He concluded
