DILI, 28 may 2024 (TATOLI) – Ambassador Maurício Medeiros de Assis, on monday, met with President of the Republic, Jose Ramos Horta to mark the end of his three-and-a-half years of service in Timor-Leste.
During the meeting, both leaders reviewed various cooperation projects developed between the two countries, highlighting the strong bilateral relationship that has strengthened over this period.
“We reviewed the cooperation projects. The meeting also served to explore future collaborations, especially in the field of education and national development.
“We have a project with the Ministry of Education for the Training of Teachers for Vocational Technical Schools. Twelve Brazilian teachers are set to come to Timor-Leste this July,” he said.
Ambassador Assis concluded his statement on a personal note: “I was very happy here in Díli, my family and I, and we will miss it greatly.”
