DILI, 12 September 2025 (TATOLI) – The Council of Ministers approved a draft Government Resolution, presented by Prime Minister Kay Rala Xanana Gusmão, authorising a donation of US$2.5 million to support the flood-affected communities in the province of Bali, Indonesia.
The financial support is intended to assist humanitarian relief operations and help recovery efforts for the flood-affected communities.
“The Council of Ministers expresses its solidarity with the people, the Government of the Republic of Indonesia, and the authorities of the province of Bali in facing the devastating effects of the floods that have hit the island in recent days,” the government said in a statement.
Heavy rainfall triggered overflowing rivers and landslides, leaving at least 16 people dead, several missing, and hundreds displaced.
The floods also destroyed homes, roads, bridges, and other infrastructure, while damaging local economic activities, including areas of tourist importance.
