DILI, 05 March 2026 (TATOLI) – Minister of the Presidency of the Council of Ministers Agio Pereira met on Thursday with the President of the Civil Service Commission, Agostinho de Deus, to review ongoing work and define priorities for 2026 in public administration reform and the management of state human resources.

During the meeting, Agostinho de Deus presented an update on the commission’s activities, including disciplinary proceedings, mandatory retirements and human resource management across the public sector.

Particular attention was given to staffing and administrative matters in the education and health sectors.

The Civil Service Commission chief also said the institution is preparing several policy documents to be submitted to the Council of Ministers to help guide strategic decisions on public administration reforms.

As part of its institutional oversight role, the commission plans to strengthen monitoring activities in ministries and public institutes throughout 2026. These initiatives will include inspection visits conducted in coordination with other state entities.

According to the commission, such monitoring efforts have helped identify administrative and financial management issues in some government services.
