DILI, 18 May 2026 (TATOLI) – Timorese boxer Deniel de Assis Belo defeated Indonesian opponent Prastio via unanimous decision at HW Sport Night Bali Vol. 9 on May 17, 2026.
Timor-Leste’s rising boxing prospect Deniel de Assis Belo has now compiled an unbeaten professional record of 5-0 with one knockout since making his debut in August 2024.
The victory makes the 21-year-old the first Timorese boxer to reach the milestone in the division.
His victory over Prastio further strengthened his status as one of Timor-Leste’s rising boxing talents, with his performances in the ring attracting growing attention to the country’s emerging presence in the sport.

Deniel began his professional boxing career with a split-decision win over Kaleb Putra Siregar at HW Sport Night in Bali, Indonesia, on August 25, 2024.
The Timorese fighter then returned to secure a unanimous decision victory over Francisco Almeida at the WBC-Asia event in Dili on November 30, 2024.
He kept his unbeaten run intact by scoring a third-round technical knockout over Sakti Hamonangan Manullang at HW Sport Night Bali on February 9, 2025, before adding another victory to his record with a unanimous decision win against Krispinus Soleman at the same event in Bali on May 18, 2025.
At the competition, Deniel was accompanied by fellow Timorese boxer Delio Anzaqueci Mouzinho, who also stepped into the ring following Deniel’s victory to face Indonesian fighter Saroha Lumbantobing. The two are scheduled to meet in July 2026.
