DILI, 07 july 2021 (TATOLI)- Timor-Leste’s Association for the Eyes with Disabilities (AHDMTL) receives braille printing and other assistance such as tablets and cash amounting to $ 20,000 to AHDMTL last june 15th from United Nation International Children Fund (UNICEF)
“AHMDTL received 1 unit of Braille printing and 10 tablets from UNICEF for $14,000 and provided funds of $20,000 to AHMDTL, the money will be used to conduct research in three Municipalities such as Liquiça, Ermera and Maliana in collecting data on people with eyes disabilities,” said Executive Director, Gaspar Afonso to Journalist of TATOLI News Agency in AHDMTL Manleuana ton wednesday.
He explained that the total funds given to AHDMTL amounted to $34,000 but $14. 000 was used to purchase a Braille printer and 10 tablets, UNICEF just gave to AHMDTL $20,000. This money will be managed by AHDMTL for 6 months to collect data from people with eye disabilities in three Municipalities such as Liquiça, Ermera and Maliana.
“On this occasion, on behalf of AHDMTL, I would like to express my deepest gratitude and this Aids will be used by AHMDTL responsibly”.
