DILI, 24 June 2025 (TATOLI) – Seventy-six third-year medical students from the Catholic University of Timor (UCT) are scheduled to take part in a pre-clinical laboratory training program at Atma Jaya Catholic University of Indonesia and Krida Wacana Christian University (UKRIDA) in Jakarta, from July 1 to August 28.
UCT Rector Father Joel Casimiro said the initiative is designed to provide students with hands-on experience that complements their academic studies, helping them develop essential technical skills and apply theoretical knowledge in real-world medical settings.
During their stay in Indonesia, the students will undergo intensive practical training. The first three weeks will focus on anatomy, physiology, and histology, followed by another three weeks dedicated to microbiology, cytology, pathological anatomy, and clinical pathology. The final two weeks will cover radiology, cytology, and internal medicine.
“Throughout the program, students will engage in visual learning methodologies and English-language laboratory sessions,” said Father Casimiro in Dili.
