DILI, 26 november 2020 (TATOLI) – When it comes to Bilateral relation, Australia’s Ambassador Peter Roberts has promised to strengthen ties with Timor-Leste during his term as Ambassador of Australia to Timor-Leste.
“Australia will collaborate with Timor-Leste. As a Diplomat, I will focus on the cooperation between the two countries. We are willing to continue support Timor-Leste in the development process,” Ambassador Peter Roberts said after joining his family in the distribution of the Christmas gifts to the children at the Quesadhip Ruak Foundation, Taibese Dili.
He believes that cooperation among the countries will continue to be strong in the future., particularly in regards to the assistance of Timor-Leste with the Development process.
As the head Representative of Australia’s Government, Robert rejected to comment on the Democratic process that is going on in Timor-Leste but will continue to monitor the existing political situation.
“About the Democracy process in this country, I cannot comment, especially about any political situation,” Peter Roberts said.
So far, Australia has established cooperation with Timor-Leste in the Education sector, Health sector, and offer the opportunity for the Timorese to work in Australia and other countries.
