DÍLI, 2 december, 2020 (TATOLI) – Cambodia Airways flight landed in Timor-Leste to deliver the donation. The items including face masks, protective suits, eye protection and other medical equipment, were loaded onto two aircraft.
HOrOuch Borith, minister attached to the prime minister and foreign ministry’s standing secretary of state, brought the donation to Timor-Leste via a special flight on Wednesday morning and welcomed by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Cooperation, Adaljiza Albertina dos Reis Magno and the Ministry of Health, Odete Freitas Belo.

Director of Bilateral of Foreign Affairs Ministry, Domingos de Savio said Cambodia supports to Timor-Leste to help fight against the COVID-19 and strengthen relationship ties between Cambodia and Timor- Leste.
The donation included 1 million face masks, 10,000 N-95 masks, 10,000 goggles, 10,000 sets of personal protective equipment, 250 hand-held temperature scanners, and 10 sets of ventilator machines for Intensive Care Units, he said.
Speaking to reporters at the Nicolau Lobato airport after arriving, minister attached to the prime minister Ouch Borith said Cambodia and Timor-Leste must have strong relationship and cooperation ties.
“I acknowledge our cooperatioin with Timor-Leste. This is time for both countries to strengthen the relation to support each other in regional, Bilateral and multilateral,” Borith said.
At the same time Bortih and his delegation try some original coffee from Timor-Leste, which has different teste.
“I tried Timor’s Coffee and it has different taste, Cambodia also produce coffee but Timorese coffee is different, I think in the future Timor-Leste can export the coffee to Cambodia,” he said.
So far Timor-Leste is the third country that had received the donation from Cambodia after Laos and Myanmar.
