COVID-19: Three Patients are discharged from Isolation Center

DILI,12 january 2021 (TATOLI)— Government Ministry of Health on Tuesday has returned three patients with covid-19 that have been recovered after undergoing the treatment.

The Coordinator of Covid-19 Odete da Silva Viegas, said the Ministry has discharged the three patients to their families and they will continue to comply with the prevention measure.

“The Three patients are Timorese Citizens, one is 34 years old, 29 years old and 19 years old males. They were Isolated on January 2 and 3 of 2021,” Odete Viegas to Journalist at the Press Conference.

Ms Viegas added that the three of them were committed to have a test on January 7, 2021 while the second test were performed on January 9, 2021, and the results were twice negative.

She said the three of them were traveled from United Kingdom, and arrived in Timor-Leste on december 22, 2020.

Since the outbreak began, 17.789 people have had laboratory tests, of which 17.456 have tested negative, while 284 are still waiting for the results.

In addition, 111 people are currently in the mandatory quarantine and 79 in the self-quarantine, with 7.290 people having completed 14 days of mandatory confinement in Dili and other municipalities.
