DILI, 27 january 2021 (TATOLI) – The Parliament National approves Air service agreement between Timor-Leste and Australia with 45 votes in favor, 12 abstension and two against.
“The proposal of the agreement is approved during the legislation public vote” said the President of the National Parliament, Aniceto Guterres, during the plenary session.
Guterres recalled that this issue was agreed by both countries in 2017, and has been ratified by the Australian Government.
The proposal of the resolution was established with desire of both countries to promote an international aviation system based on competition between air carriers, encouraging more competitive and safer work.
It is also intended to ensure a maximum level of international security and protection.
