DILI, 28 march, 2021 (TATOLI) – The President for the Council of Ministers, Fidélis Magalhães, said today the Covid-19 authority conducts swab tests to the entire member of the Government including the Prime Minister, Taur Matan Ruak, after the Council Minister meeting at the Ministry of Finance building, Aitarak Laran Dili.
Speaking shortly after the tests, Minister Magalhães said the objective of the mass testing is to prevent the contagion of the new coronavirus, since the two infected people are the Government’s employees and there is a possibility that they might have been contacted the employees and some of the government officials.
“The health team has already conducted a mass testing to all the government officials to find out if there is any transmission of coronavirus”, Mr Magalhães said to the journalists.
He recalls that the two people infected with covid-19 were participated at the meeting with government officials and members of the cabinet from every ministry at the previous meeting, so it is necessary to carry out the mass testing.
Meanwhile the newly patients are under the isolation at Tasi Tolu, Dili.
